The two-stringed Dutar is kind of stringed instruments, which is used in the north of Khorasan.
The Dutar is a fretted string instrument, which has a deep pear-shaped body with a very long neck. The instrument is traditionally made of Mulberry wood and is fretted with catguts. The Dutar has 17 to 20 moveable frets and two strings which is played by fingers (without plectrum). The metal strings are fastened with front and side tuning pegs.
